Kids Program
A recent study of hundreds of boys compared kids who practiced Jiu Jitsu to those who did not. The study found that the children who did Jiu Jitsu for just 1-3 days a week, for an average of 45 minutes per session, showed a significant increase in their self-control compared to their peers. They were better able to concentrate and displayed strong "inhibitory control." In a world filled with tablets, phones, social media, and nonstop electronics, Jiu Jitsu is an invaluable tool for building discipline, respect, character, and the ability to protect themselves from bullies. The study also suggests that the more discipline children have, the more successful they will be. Practicing Jiu Jitsu can transform children into adults who will become valuable and productive citizens of Shawano.
